House of Istrian Olive Oil in the centar of city of Pula, leads us trough history and present day of Istrian olive agriculture. You will found out why Romans appriciated olive oil, how they processed it and where it was traded in 1st centrury. Historical overview includes tradicional methods of processing, meanwhile in modern day part we see how it is processed and which are the secrets for makin excelente extravirgin olive oil.
After the museum, visitors can attend a sampeling od olive oils with guided workshop of proper way of tasteing, learning about positive and negative properties of the oil, about different varieties and presentation of sensor analisys of the oil. They can try some of the best and internationally highly rewarded istrian olive oils.
In the store of the museum represents top 30 istrian olive oil makers and other istrian products such as different objects and jewelry from olive tree wood, wines, spirits, olive, lavander and immortelle based cosmetics and other.
